  2. Thanks for the great information you give. There ate so many choices out there you make it easier to make decisions about our blogs ( for us non techy types).

    1. Hi Renee,

You’re welcome, my friend. You should know by now, I love helping others out. There are many choices out there but when you’ve been blogging as long as me, you’ve tried a gazillion different ones. Social Warfare is definitely worth the investment. I recommend to all my client’s and friends. 😉

  3. i really like the social share but stayed away because of big price tag. I use AddtoAny as it comes with whatsapp sharing also and floating horizontal and vertical bar….worth it..

    1. Hi Promil,

I can understand the “small” price tag deterring some, however, with all the perks I believe it’s worth it. Glad you do have an alternative that you like. Thank you for sharing with us.

  4. Hi Brenda,

Well Social media buttons plays a significant role for better blog promotion. So, for this purpose bloggers use different types of social sharing plugins in which some of them or free and some are paid.

Social Warfare is another quality source in shape of social sharing buttons, which provide more ease to its users to share content nicely and effectively.

    Thanks for fantastic share 🙂

  6. Yes, I love Social Warfare, one of the best things I have ever spent money on for my blog. I love the way it looks on the site and the click to tweet, genius! Plus, I have gotten way more shares since using it 🙂

    1. Hi Teresa,

Oh yes, I have to agree with you! Social Warfare has been such a super tool for me. I use it on my lifestyle magazine and finally up’d my license to include it here. Best tool ever!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great rest of the week!

  7. Hey Brenda,
I have not thought of changing my social buttons since I set them up in 2013. I think my theme has theme built in or something. I can’t really remember 😉

I however tried Jetpack but I think there was a speed issue. I can’t really say with surety but someone was not right with Jetpack.
I also have read about Social Warfare. I think if I have to get something different from what I currently have, that will be the option.

Thanks for sharing about it my dear friend.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend 😉

    1. Hi Enstine,

It’s great to see you here! I keep hearing mixed things about Jetpack. Personally, I’ve use it and when testing for speed, I haven’t seen any big difference. Social Warfare does so much more than just sharing. I wouldn’t be happy without it. If you ever think of changing, definitely give Social Warfare a try. I know you’ll love it!

      Happy weekend!

  8. Hi Brenda,

A blog without share button is not a nice thing for a blogger. Social Media Plays a vital role in sharing our thoughts to others and our readers, without share button, we can’t promote our content, sometimes readers will get tensed while he/she searching for share buttons in the blog post.

Social Warfare is new to hear, anyway i will try this and thanks for sharing this informative content.

    1. Hi Raaja and Welcome!

I’m glad you mentioned, “get tensed” because I feel a huge amount of frustration when I can’t find or use the social sharing buttons. Other things are lack of a newsletter or email subscription and a non-mobile responsive website.

I’m glad to hear that you’ll give Social Warfare a try. I know you’ll love it! Thank you again for visiting my site. I hope you’ll return.

  10. Hey Bren,

Social Warfare plugin looks really awesome. And lots of cool features! I just took over the veterinary clinic’s website and the first thing I did was to install sharing buttons on the blog posts. I couldn’t understand how they could have posts and no sharing buttons.

Great info! You did a great job as usual! And I love your blog’s new look. Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

    ~Nataly

    1. Hi Nataly,

It really is an awesome plugin and well worth the price. Congratulations on the new gig! I’m sure you’ll do awesome! I’m with you on the sharing buttons. Maybe they just don’t know about the sharing buttons or know where to get them but there are so many references online that can help.

Thanks for the compliment on the website look. I’m really liking it as well.

      Happy Valentine’s Day!

    1. Hi Dustin! I’m honored to have you on my site!

I love Social Warfare so much! I love the extra features and I just want everyone to know, they are missing out if they aren’t using it. You have an awesome product and I look forward to see how much more you can improve it (if any). 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I really appreciate it!

  11. Hey Brenda,

As you probably noticed I recently switched over to Social Warfare with the new theme setup. The only reason I did was because Ashvini isn’t supporting Share Juice Pro any longer and I knew that it was just a matter of time before I had more issues. I LOVE that plugin because he created it for Carolyn and I but he just wasn’t good at marketing it and it took more time then he cared to put into it. So investing in Social Warfare seemed to be the logical next step.

I agree with you that it’s a great investment as of course those guys have been working really hard to get our share counts back. I’m thrilled they did and jumping for joy.

Those who either don’t have any in place or still don’t have them set up correctly are just really missing out on some valuable recognition. Hope they’ll look at this baby now.

    Great plugin and thanks Brenda.

    ~Adrienne

    1. Hi Adrienne,

I could have sworn I replied to your comment.

I remember you and many others were using Social Juice. Even I tried it at one time. I can understand you looking for an alternative especially if the product isn’t going to be supported any longer. Do you think Ashvini has plans on coming out with something else?

Social Warfare is my main squeeze. I’ve been using for over a year on MGP and finally purchased another license to have it here. Definitely worth the investment especially because they continue to add more features. I’m in love!

Thanks for sharing with us, Adrienne. Today is my Friday! Yeah!

  13. Hi Bren,

Without social share buttons what’s the point of laboring over a blog post? When I visit some without share buttons it drives me up a wall. Thanks so much for introducing me to Social Warfare. I like the idea of making the buttons little pills lol. Seems like a fun way to share. Also the benefits are wonderful. I just put this on my “reminder” on my phone so I’ll be checking it out.

    1. Hi Donna,

I absolutely agree with you but I’m just amazed at those who don’t have them. Even some veteran bloggers! Social Warfare is very customizable, which is one of the things I love. The added perks of Click-to-Tweet, Pinterest feature image, and Twitter Cards sold me on it.

I hope you decide to give it a try and if so, I’m sure you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

      Brenda

    1. Hi Mansi,

I’m glad you enjoyed it. It’s true, sometimes even the veteran bloggers forget the little things. The little things that could mean big things for our blogs or business sites.

It’s great to see you here again. Have a fabulous day!

      Brenda

  14. Hi Bren,

    Informative post indeed 🙂

We’ve tried most of the social sharing plugins around and finally settled with SumoMe for the time being, as it’s got various other features attached to it as well, and if we like it, may just go with the paid version, though this free one itself has quote a lot of features, if you tried it. So far, so good – as I like Flipboard as an addition to it too, though I have the Chrome extension for it, but not everyone may have it. But surely worth keeping in mind, as the Pinterest images look wonderful, if they can be customized easily.

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week ahead 🙂

BTW – Love the overall new look and feel of your blog my friend – keep going!

    1. Hi Harleena,

I’ve heard a lot of good things about SumoMe and it’s awesome features. I like how it looks on your website as well. The Pinterest image feature is fabulous in my opinion. Not only can you customize the image but also the content that goes along with it. Definitely a Win-Win!

I’m so happy to hear you like the look of my site. You know how much I like to change things up. 🙂 I feel this is clean, professional, and just the right touch of pink.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing. Happy Wednesday!

      Brenda

  15. Brenda,
Really good info even long time bloggers tend to forget. Updating social share buttons and continuing to look for new ways to maximize a site. I love the Genesis framework. It’s great with landing pages! Thanks for providing such timely and practical info.

    1. Hi Kathy,

I’m always so happy to run into another Genesis Framework fan. I think some are intimidated by it but if they would give it a chance, they would see how awesome it is. I hope you check out Genesis Simple Share of Social Warfare. You can’t go wrong with either of them.

      Thanks for sharing with us.

      Brenda

  16. Hey Bren,

I recently visited a blog where there were no sharing buttons. I was actually excited to share the post too because I thought they shared some great content.
I found it frustrating, but thankfully it seems they’ve added them since my last visit.

I know how upsetting it can be when you can’t share a post. I love the examples you’ve shared here with the social warfare system. You’re so helpful when it comes to the technical stuff with blogging and your knowledge of the available tools has been a huge help to me 🙂

BTW, your blog looks fantastic! I love what you’ve done.

    1. Hi Dana!

Oh yes, the frustration factor when you really want to share something! Thankfully, I use a Chrome Extension which will still allow me to share to my platforms, however, why should I have to use it? Why don’t some bloggers have a way to share? I find this a lot more on mobile than on the web.I just don’t understand it so I thought I would try to enlighten people on how important it is to have.

I appreciate your kind words in reference to my “tech” skills. I think it comes from the over 5 years of blogging and web creation. 🙂 I’m glad you like the new look! I think it’s clean, not too feminine, and business like.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Dana. I hope you give Genesis Simple Share or Social Warfare a chance.

      Brenda

  17. Hi Brenda, nothing worse than not being able to share easily with our posts, right? I like Shareaholic since they made the changes and I have Twitter cards with Yoast SEO plugin. I use 6 buttons on mine which I may condense, if you give people too many choices they may run away 🙂 But having options is great! I like how they have many options with this one Brenda. Thanks for sharing – I’ve heard of them but was not away of the many options available. Have a great week and stay warm there!

    1. Hi Lisa,

You’re absolutely right! I struggle with this one mostly on mobile but when I find it on my laptop, it really makes me upset. I personally like the idea of having many ways to share a post. Not everyone uses the same social media platforms so having a variety is good. For instance, I have found a lot of people are using LinkedIn instead of GooglePlus. I’d hate to miss out on having great content shared.

Social Warfare is an amazing application and well worth the cost in my opinion. I’ve been using it for quite some time on my other site and just recently added it to here. Many perks! I know you like Shareaholic so when you ever get tired of it, please give Social Warfare a try. 🙂

Happy Monday! Looks like we’re getting another storm here starting tomorrow.

      Brenda

    2. You’re actually on to something about the scaring people away bit. The Paradox of Choice is the resulted theory that analyzed how people responded when being given more options as opposed to being given fewer options.

Long story short– when fewer options were given, more people actually took action.

In the case of social sharing, we’ve partnered with some of our larger scale users (50M+ visitors per month) to gather data on how that works with social sharing. What we found was that when they decreased the number of sharing options (as few as only two options) they actually got a significant boost in actual shares and, more importantly, inbound traffic as a result of those shares! Pretty interesting stuff, human nature. 😀

      1. Hi Dustin,

I understand what you’re saying so I’m going to test it out here. I’ve heard different opinions, like I shared with Lisa, about the different networks.

I look forward to seeing what happens over the next 6 months or so with my stats. Thanks for adding to Lisa’s comment!

        Brenda

    1. Hi Rebecca,

Glad to hear you’re a fan! If you don’t know, in the latest Social Warfare update, Twitter counts are back. Make sure your plugin is up-to-date.

Thanks for sharing with us. Have an awesome day.

      Brenda

  18. Hi Brenda,

If you’re site isn’t easily shareable then one is going to miss out on an incredible opportunity to earn social validation and an a new audience.

I tried JetPack but I just didn’t like it. so I decided to try shareaholic and so far, so good. I am having a really positive experience.

However, I’m really intrigued by Social Warfare and its customization features. It’s something I’m going to take the time to learn more about.

I hope you have an incredible week Brenda!

    ~ Don

    1. Hi Don,

You know as well as I do that sharing helps generate traffic and engagement. Two things we both strive for. I like Jetpack except for its lack of customization. I know some who swear by Shareaholic but I’m just not a fan. Genesis Simple Share and Social Warfare, in my opinion, are cleaner looking and more functional. Social Warfare and all its other additional features is a major plus!

I hope you decide to give it a try. 60-day money back guarantee! What do you have to lose?

I appreciate you taking the time to share with us, Don. Hope you’re having a fabulous day!

      Brenda

  19. Hey Bren,

You definitely got me thinking about this girlfriend. I use Jet Pack’s share feature but since it doesn’t have StumbleUpon or Flipboard, I had to install another plugin. $24 a year is not bad to get all these features you showed us.

Thanks for putting this together for us! Hope you’re having a great day!

    Cori

    1. Hi Cori,

Believe me, when I say Social Warfare is awesome. I’ve been using it on MGP for over a year and finally upgraded my license to include it here. Mind you, Social Warfare does not have Flipboard. I usually share to Flipboard via a Chrome Extension. $24 is an awesome price for all the additional perks you get with Social Warfare (Twitter Cards, Click-to-Tweet, Customized Tweet or Pinterest Images) and so much more.

If you can swing it, I highly recommend it as it will help increase traffic to your site.

      Happy Monday, my friend!

      Brenda
